Check out a few ways we are engaging with the community below.

Capital Football, in conjunction with our member clubs are keen to facilitate Football in Schools Programmes across the Capital region.

These programmes aim to provide children with a fun learning experience, using football as the medium for learning both in and out of the classroom.

The Football in Schools Programme contains lesson plans for teachers to use in their classrooms, as well as football games and activities for use outside of the classroom designed to improve fundamental movement skills.

These can be delivered by teachers, Capital Football staff or our member clubs.

If you are a club or school and would like any more information on these programmes please reach out Katie Barrott at

This project provides schools with a set of futsal goals as well as balls, cones and bibs to get the games going! Futsal is one of New Zealand’s fastest growing sports!

In 2019, Capital Football delivered 16 sets of goals to schools across the Capital region. If you are interested in applying for future editions of the Goals4Schools project then please reach out to Katie Barrott
