Wow, what a year it is going to be with us co-hosting the FIFA Women's World Cup!!
Did you know that over 1 billion people tuned in to watch the 2019 FIFA WWC?!?! Interest in girls' and women's football, and women's sport in general, has soared since and it is important that we make the most of this excitment and visibility around our beautiful game.
Collectively, we have a fantastic opportunity to introduce new players, coaches, and administrators to the game of football, and the time is now!
To kick things off, Capital Football in conjunction with New Zealand Football are promoting a massive Girls' and Women's MONTH. The campaign commences following the Football Ferns games against Argentina and runs through until the start of April.
Keep an eye out on our Events Calendar below to see the different Girls' and Women's events and activities that are taking place in Wellington. At these events, you might even be lucky enough to pick up some freebies AND there will be a few special appearances by some Football Ferns and Futsal Ferns - watch this space!
