Capital Football is delighted to welcome Sam Smith who will be joining as Federation Development Officer in March. Sam may be familiar to the Capital Football family having coached in the Federation Talent Centre and at National Age Group Tournaments the previous couple of years. Sam also has experience of the club landscape via his coaching background at Waterside Karori.

Steeve Sharpe, Capital Football Federation Development Manager, comments:

“the strength of candidates who interviewed for the position were tremendous and Sam clearly demonstrated how he will be an ideal fit for the role as he came out on top. Sam has excellent inter-personal skills, and this will prove an integral part of the role as he develops key relationships with clubs and other key stakeholders. We are looking forward to Sam hitting the ground running as we go into the winter football season.”

Sam will begin his role on Monday 25^th March 2019 and will take on responsibility for providing direct support to a group of clubs as well as portfolio lead for Football in Schools.
