Capital Football | Farewells McFadyen

Capital Football wishes to congratulate our Communications and Marketing Officer Jessie McFadyen on her selection for the White Ferns’ tour to England.

Jessie became a New Zealand Cricket contracted player for the first time when the contracts were announced in May, with the contract starting at the beginning of August and running through to July 2022.

To allow Jessie to give cricket her full attention, she will be on leave from her fulltime role at Capital Football from when she departs for England in mid-August.

When she returns from the England tour in mid-October, she will be working on the “Football For All” community programme on a part-time basis with the Wellington Phoenix.

Jessie has been an integral part of the Capital Football team since she joined the organisation in 2018.

She has helped grow all aspects of the communications and marketing side of the organisation, particularly in the social media space.

More recently, she has been instrumental in the setup and running of the “Football For All” programme, meaning she will be well placed to hit the ground running in her new role when she returns in October.

“All of us at Capital Football are delighted for Jess and are pleased we’ve been able to help facilitate her sporting ambitions” commented Capital Football Chair, Helen Mallon.

In Jessie’s place, Capital Football would like to welcome Jack Morrissey to the team. He will step into a Communications and Content Co-ordinator role on a fulltime, fixed-term basis, starting on August 23.

Jack is a current player and Junior Coaching Director at Stop Out SC, while also running the communications for the club.
