Capital Football | Notification of Regulation Breach - Men's Capital Premier & Capital 1

Capital Football would like to inform all clubs of a significant breach of the Capital Football Playing Regulations across Men’s Capital Premier and Capital 1.

The breaches were committed by Lower Hutt City AFC who played ineligible players without dispensations in a number of fixtures across both competitions. The Competitions Administrator's decision was made on Thursday 28 July, which Lower Hutt City AFC appealed to the Regional Association Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday 3 August.

We can now confirm that Lower Hutt City’s appeal has been declined by the Regional Association Disciplinary Committee. As a result, the initial decision by the Competitions Administrator will stand.

We have actioned the sanctions outlined in the Capital Football Regulations for playing ineligible players, listed below.

24 INFRINGEMENTS AND MISCONDUCTS
24.6 Player eligibility
24.6.1 If a team is found to be in breach of any part of the player eligibility regulation:
a. The offending team will forfeit any points gained from that match.
b. Goals scored by the offending team will be cancelled, goals-against shall stand
c. The opposing team will be awarded a minimum 3-0 win. Goals scored over and above 3-0 by that team will stand and goals against cancelled.

The competition tables have now been updated in COMET and are live on the Capital Football website.
