The Ultra Football Central League title race features another critical weekend with Stop Out in need of a win to keep their hopes alive.
They travel to Park Island on Sunday to meet leaders Napier City Rovers knowing a win would put them right back in contention after they succumb to a loss to second-bottom side Waterside Karori last weekend.
That placed them five points adrift of Napier in third with five games to go. A loss would push that to eight points and make it extremely difficult for them to mount a comeback.
Second-placed Western Suburbs (three behind Napier) will look to keep the pressure on Rovers when they face Wellington Olympic at Wakefield Park on Saturday night. Olympic have been up-and-down this season, but managed a good 3-1 win over Miramar Rangers last weekend to move into clear fourth place.
Karori will try to put more distance between themselves and bottom-placed Havelock North Wanderers when they play Wellington United at Karori Park on Saturday.
Wanderers are three points behind at the bottom and play Wairarapa United on Sunday.
Miramar Rangers meet Lower Hutt City in the other match this round on Saturday afternoon.
In the Capital Premier division, North Wellington can wrap up the title with a win over Island Bay United and either a draw or a loss from Petone against Wests' reserves on Saturday.
They are 12 points clear with five games to go.
Relegation-threatened Olympic reserves take on Miramar's reserves on Sunday, while Lower Hutt's reserves, who sit just one point ahead of Olympic, meet in-form Upper Hutt City at Maidstone Park on Saturday.
The other match of the round sees Tawa host Kapiti Coast United.
In the W-League, second plays third when Wairarapa United host Westerns Suburbs on Saturday night.
Wairarapa need to keep winning to keep their title hopes alive and hope Wellington United slip up at some point.
Wellington play Upper Hutt City, who have been struggling of late and lost to Seatoun last weekend - the south Wellington side's first win of the season.
Seatoun will look to build on that win when they take on Palmerston North Marist at Seatoun Park on Saturday.
In the Women's Premier League, Waterside Karori will look to move one step closer to the title when they travel to Weka Park to play Kapiti Coast United.
They sit two points clear of both Victoria University and Wellington United's reserves with a game in hand.
Those two teams meet on Sunday at Boyd Wilson Park.
Other matches see Island Bay United play Stop Out and Brooklyn Northern United host Petone.
