
Capital Football is sad to inform that Jake Piper, Federation Development Officer, will be leaving the organisation on the 2nd May. Jake has decided to take the opportunity to travel overseas and see the world.
Jake has been at Capital Football since 2014 where he has fulfilled a number of roles across the organisation; Futsal operations, junior & senior competitions, FTC goalkeeper coach, and leading the COMET implementation. Jake has also worked at a National level being a key member of the National Futsal Advisory Group, National Talent Centres, and most recently the Goalkeeper Coach at the Wellington Phoenix Academy. Jakes contribution at Capital Football extends much further than his specific roles, Jake has always gone above and beyond to make sure that every player, coach, administrator, and volunteers football experience is of the highest quality. It has been a pleasure to watch Jake grow over his 5 years at the organisation, he has a bright future ahead of him.
Lisa Jones, Operations Manager, who has worked closely with Jake during his time at Capital Football will miss having Jake as part of the Capital Football team;
“Jake has had a huge impact on both the Capital Football Office and Football in Wellington. We will miss his sense of humour and his commitment a great deal, I wish him all the best and look forward to welcoming him back someday soon”
As a player, coach, and administrator Jake has played a significant role in the development of both Football and Futsal within the Wellington region and also across New Zealand. Capital Football is sad to see Jake leave the organisation however would like to thank and congratulate him on his contribution and dedication to the community.
Jake’s current portfolios of COMET, Tier 2 senior competitions, and Futsal operations will be integrated across the operations department as below:
