Wellington City Council would like to send an importance message to the sporting community to ensure people that are attending our facilities park in designated parking areas and highlight the risk associated to parking on grass berms and banks.

We acknowledge parking can be limited at our sporting venues and with that can come the urge to get creative when finding a spot for your car to be parked. Given the rain Wellington has been experiencing, we encourage you to take time and park that little bit further away to ensure your vehicle is parked in an appropriate place. Parking in places that are not designed for vehicles, such as grass berms and banks can come with a huge risk where cars can slip, slide or create hazards. Please avoid these areas at all times.

To help ease pressure on parking please consider alternative means of transport including but not limited to carpooling and public transport.
