Attached below is an entry form and quote for the 2023 Powerex Tournament for the Hilton Petone Cup:

The tournament will start on the weekend of 11/12 February depending upon the number of entries with the Finals on the weekend of 18/19 March (CL, CP and Cap 1 season all starting 25 March)
Most games will be played on Sundays but we will again be playing some Saturday games as this suits some clubs better
Two artificial pitches will be used - Memorial Park and Maidstone Park, and two grass pitches at Petone as required

To allow for more pre-season flexibility the group games will be three x 30 minute thirds, and 7 rolling subs can be used, plus re-grading changes
The knockout rounds will revert to normal two x 45 minute halves and no rolling subs as we get closer to season start, but this will be determined later
The final format for each Division will be decided once we have all the entries, but all teams will have at least 4 games and some 5 games.

The entry fee this year is $500 per team plus GST. For this you get organized games and match officials with three point control for Division One.

On the entry form please state the number of teams and the division that you wish to enter. Division One entries will be limited.

To enable early communication around the final format it would also be helpful to advise by email asap your club’s intention to enter as soon as possible please. Please also include adminsupport@petonefootball.org.nz (Andy Badrick) in your communications as Andy will be taking over the running of the tournament going forward. Any feedback on the format is also welcome.

LGBTIQA+ Football World Championships as part of Sydney WorldPride

You are invited to register for the LGBTIQA+ Football World Championships – an 11-a-side international tournament being held as part of the Sydney WorldPride Sports Program and co-hosted by the Flying Bats Women's FC along with the Sydney Rangers FC and Pride Football Australia. IGLFA (the International Gay and Lesbian Football Association), Football Australia and other partners, sponsors and volunteers are supporting us to bring this tournament to Sydney in 2023.

When and where is it being held?

Monday 20 February to Thursday 23 February – starting the day after Mardi Gras Fair Day in the lead up to the Mardi Gras Parade (book annual leave or arrange shifts now so you don’t miss out)
Day and evening games of 30 minute halves, max two games per day
The Tournament is taking place at Tempe Recreation Reserve in Sydney's Inner West on Gadigal and Wangal Lands, with other fun activations and food and drink stations on-site

How much will it cost?
Our supporters are helping to keep costs as low as possible for this once in a lifetime 4-day event as part of Sydney WorldPride – which is in the Southern Hemisphere for the first time in its history. The team registration fee is $449 and there is an individual fee of $149. Home/local Clubs may opt to subsidise the team fee which means each player would only pay $149, without subsidy the total fee would be $179 per player.

Who can play?
The Tournament is open to everyone internationally or domestically. There is a Women’s and Non-Binary comp and a Men’s and Non-Binary comp (all genders can play in this comp if they wish), with both competitive and more social divisions to suit a range of skill levels. Please play where you feel most comfortable. Up to 15 players can participate in a team.

Who’s coming?
So far we are welcoming international teams from West Hollywood, Minnesota, New York, San Diego and London. Melbourne Rovers are travelling up and we look forward to other teams from interstate joining, including Brisbane and Perth. We are hoping for teams from NZ and the Asia Pacific region, from South America and Europe.
